LIFE IS “NOT” The Engine. LIFE IS THE ENTIRETY OF ALL THINGS.
You’ve probably been taught that life is a biological impulse — a spark that enters your body, powers it, and eventually leaves. Under that view, life is a switch. It turns on. It turns off. And the Soul gets reduced to a machine.
I believed that too, for years — while I was drowning in trauma, depression, and the relentless noise of my own ego after losing my mother, grandmother, and sister within six years. I demanded God reveal ITSELF, or I was done.
What I found instead wasn’t a better coping mechanism. It was a Still Small Voice — and in ITS Presence, the chatter in my head stopped. The memory that had been replaying for years stopped replaying. The fear of losing anyone else I loved simply wasn’t there anymore. I wasn’t afraid of death for the first time in my life.
What I discovered is that the voice in my head — all of it, the noise, the dread, the reactivity — was never “me.” It was the ego constructing a personal self-identity and defending it. The moment I stopped operating from that identity, the suffering it generated had nowhere to live.
Here’s the part that matters for how you’re living right now: life is not an impulse, energy, or a motivating urge behind your behaviour. All three framings make life fragile—dependent on your body, your conditions, your circumstances. That’s why “managing” your anxiety, “balancing” your energy, or “optimizing” your mindset never fully works. You’re negotiating with a description of life that was never true in the first place.
Three traps keep people stuck in that description:
Believing you’re a soul trapped in a body, waiting to be released by death.
Believing your Spirit and Soul are separated by something you did, so life becomes a force you have to earn back.
Believing you are your personality — your trauma, your patterns, your history — so life becomes a project to fix.
Every one of those traps ends the same way: a life that’s always at risk of being lost. None of them are true.
You are not a biological accident driven by impulses. You are not a personality built from trauma. You are God’s Eternal BEING. And that cannot be lost, divided, or separated — because it was never a function of your body to begin with. It is the very substance of what you are.
If that landed, don’t file it away. Subscribe to discover the Eternal Truth of WHO YOU ARE and tell me what came up for you when you read it.
God’s Image and Likeness, or the SOUL – “You” or your authentic SELF-Identity- are not a biological accident driven by impulses, and you are not a personality defined by your trauma. You are the expression of God’s Pure I-AM-THAT-I-AM-BEING — God’s Eternal Truth in action. Everything that follows is the case for that one sentence.
Are you living, or are you merely existing? We have been conditioned to believe LIFE is a biological impulse — a spark that enters us, energizes us, and eventually leaves. That view reduces the Soul or God’s Image and Likeness to a machine and leaves us cycling through unhappiness, emptiness, loneliness, depression, anxiety, fear, and all ego-driven mental and emotional suffering.
This piece dismantles the three illusions that keep us separated from our Divine Source, so we can stand in the “I-AM-THAT-I-AM” — the sanctuary of unbroken Inner peace, Happiness, Wholeness, and mental and emotional freedom where the ego’s noise cannot exist.
A Still Small Voice
I spent years drowning in trauma, depression, and the relentless noise of my own ego, the voices in my head believing my life was just a series of painful reactions — until the “Still Small Voice” showed me the Eternal Truth of Who I AM and the Eternal Nature of my BEING.
For many years, as many of you know, I endured a deep struggle with depression, anxiety, and trauma following the deaths of my mother, grandmother, and sister within a six-year span. That journey drove me to doubt God’s existence and to demand that God reveal ITSELF to me if IT truly existed.
When I thought all was lost, I was welcomed by the soft, comforting Presence of a “Still Small Voice.” In an instant, all my burdens vanished: the chatter in my head stopped, the memory of how I discovered my mother’s death stopped replaying, and the dread of losing my father — or anyone else in my family — evaporated. Death no longer held any terror for me as my fear of dying stopped. I didn’t fully understand what was happening, but I knew with absolute certainty that I wanted to remain in that place of complete and total inner peace also known as the REST OF GOD.
Confused and happy, “Where am I? Am I dead already?” I asked. The Still Small Voice answered gently: I was not dead. But if I was not dead, why had the familiar fear, voices in my head, and the suffocating heat vanished? Where was the dark box where mental and emotional torment had so relentlessly consumed me?
I discovered that the voice in my head — the mental and emotional suffering I had endured — was the ego’s construct of an individual, personal self-identity, and the noise it generates to defend that self-identity. I also discovered that the ego-self, ego-mind, and ego-being disappear the moment BEING is accessed directly. It’s like being in a dark room, and the moment the Light is turned on, the darkness or anything that is not real disappears in the Presence of GOD’S Eternal Truth.
“BEING” IS the “I-AM-THAT-I-AM.”
BEING is the SINGLE vantage point from which God’s Eternal Truth is known as SELF-Evident. Everything below is offered as revelation from living inside BEING for the past 21 years — not an argument from the ego, not a personal opinion, not a theory constructed from without.
What LIFE Is Not — Three Dismantlings
Before we can stand in “What LIFE IS,” we have to clear away three conditioned misunderstandings.
1. LIFE is NOT a spark that enters a body and later leaves it.
We’ve been taught that LIFE is a mere impulse or automatic reaction — a spark that enters an organic body, animates it, and departs when the body dies. That is a purely mechanistic view. It reduces the true LIFE of the Soul — made in God’s Image and likeness — to a biological function or instinctual drive.
LIFE is not the biological drive in animals, the physical force that animates matter, or the stimulus-response mechanism that triggers movement. That framing treats LIFE as something added to matter, a switch that turns things on and off — and it rejects God’s Eternal BEING entirely. The Soul is not something that lives within a body, visits a body, and then departs. From the ego’s perspective, it certainly looks like life animates things. But appearances are not the Eternal Truth of the I-AM-THAT-I-AM.
2. LIFE is NOT an Impulse.
An impulse is temporary — it fires and fades. It’s reactive — triggered by something else. It’s mechanical — following cause and effect. If LIFE were merely an impulse, it would be dependent: on a body, on conditions, on a stimulus to set it off. That would make LIFE fragile, conditional, and mortal.
But LIFE — as God, as God’s Omnipresence Image and Likeness, as the Soul — cannot be fragile and cannot depend on conditions.
LIFE is the condition of all things.
3. LIFE is NOT Energy, Stimulus, or the motivating urge behind movement.
| Common belief | What it reduces LIFE to |
|---|---|
| LIFE is energy | A measurable, transferable force |
| LIFE is stimulus | A reaction to external triggers |
| LIFE is the motivating urge | A drive, a push, a biological instinct |
| LIFE is behind movement | Something secondary — supporting, not primary |
Each of these makes LIFE a servant of matter — something that powers the physical world from behind the scenes. But LIFE is not behind anything, not beneath anything, and does not support existence from underneath.
The Full Meaning
Because LIFE is neither impulse, energy, stimulus, nor motivating drive, it is something far deeper than the mechanical animation of physical matter: LIFE is not a function of existence — LIFE IS EXISTENCE ITSELF.
| Reduced view | BEING — the Eternal view |
|---|---|
| LIFE animates the body | LIFE IS — the body is an idea within BEING |
| LIFE energizes matter | LIFE IS — the universe is contained within LIFE |
| LIFE is the force behind motion | LIFE IS — God’s Eternal Mind, functioning to the full Completeness of Spirit and Soul, inclusive of God’s entire universe functioning together as ONE SINGLE BEING-I. |
LIFE is not the engine. LIFE is the ENTIRETY OF ALL THINGS — the very SUBSTANCE of ALL that IS, the source from which all things came, not a function added to things, but the Eternal BEING from which all things spring.
Why This Is Critical — Three Traps
Clearing away these false notions isn’t academic. It’s the difference between a full, peaceful, happy, joyful existence and a life spent managing symptoms, struggling with mental and emotional pain and suffering. Living free of the ego — free of depression, anxiety, trauma, and every form of mental and emotional suffering — requires dismantling three specific traps:
The animist trap. Believing your LIFE, as the Soul, is lost and trapped inside a physical body because God’s Image and Likeness sinned, hence separated from God— that you, as God’s image and likeness, are a mortal being who enters and exits bodies. This is the root of the fear of death, disease, emptiness, void and suffering.
The energy trap. Believing the Spirit and Soul are separated because you’ve sinned against God — so the LIFE of the Soul becomes a force you have to cultivate, raise, or balance. This is the root of endless searching.
The self-improvement trap. Believing your individual self-identity is a person, a personality — so your LIFE is mortal, controlled, driven by urges behind behavior. This is the root of ego-centered psychology.
Each of these leads to the same dead end: a notion of LIFE that remains subject to loss, reduction, or separation from its Divine Source. In BEING, none of these constructs constitute true LIFE. LIFE IS Spirit, LIFE IS God, LIFE IS BEING — and that which is God can never be lost, divided, or separated.
Conclusion
You, dear lost and hurting Soul, God’s Image and Likeness, who have been hypnotized to believe you are a mortal being, “YOU are NOT” a biological accident driven by impulses, nor a personality defined by trauma. You are the Image and Likeness of the I-AM-THAT-I-AM BEING — God’s Eternal Truth, OMNIPRESENCE ITSELF IN COMPLETE ACTION.
By dismantling the illusions of the animist, energy, and self-improvement traps, you stop seeking and improving the illusion and start “being” WHO YOU ARE.
The path to freedom from depression, anxiety, and the relentless chatter of the ego isn’t found by changing your circumstances, getting more things, or getting more money — it’s found by recognizing that the LIFE you are is the very SUBSTANCE of “ALL THAT IS.” When you identify as a Spirit BEING rather than a body, you realize you were never broken, never separated, and never truly lost.
