There are eight billion definitions of ‘life’ on this planet. Every culture, religion, and philosophy has offered its own, yet the fundamental question remains unanswered, lingering like a shadow at the edge of our awareness.

We have spent human history trying to define life through the narrow lens of time—that ticking clock spanning from birth to death. But by trapping our understanding in the construct of time, we have viewed life from every angle except the one that matters: the perspective of the Author of Life ITSELF-BEING-I-AM-THAT-I-AM. If a definitive answer truly exists, why does it remain so elusive? The truth is, we have mistaken the quantity of our opinions for the quality of our wisdom. It is time to stop analyzing life from the observer’s perspective and start looking through the lens of GOD’s ETERNAL BEING.

Part 1 — The Question That Has No Satisfying Answer

“What is LIFE? This question has confronted the world since the so-called beginning of time.”

The question “What IS LIFE?” is one of humanity’s most fundamental and enduring questions, but no single answer is agreed upon because everyone has their own perspective on what life means.

The question is universal – This universal question has made people grapple with defining ‘Life” throughout all of human history.

The Deeper Implication:

While every person has their own sense of what “life” means to them, it doesn’t mean all these definitions are equally valid or true. In other words, there may be a “correct” answer or understanding of life that goes beyond personal individual interpretation-it’s not just a matter of personal opinion. In a nutshell, though people have different views of what life is, not all views are necessarily correct or equally valuable.

Notice “every person has their own sense of what life means to them.” This means each and every one’s definition of “life” is tied to time, that is, from when they were born to when they die.

This subtly signals that “time is a construct of personal definition of what “life” is — a framework the ego uses to organize personal experiences.

By defining “life” on the basis of “time,” are we saying there were no actual beginnings before time?

Is there any possibility that LIFE ITSELF may have been prior to time?

The question “What is LIFE?’ cannot be answered within the context of time – only from beyond it.

This question has persistently challenged humanity —confronting the world uninvited and unavoidable, yet never truly resolved. Like a challenge that cannot be ignored, cannot be escaped, and has never been fully resolved–precisely because we have attempted to analyze LIFE from every viewpoint except that of the Author of LIFE ITSELF. We have looked at LIFE from every viewpoint except that of BEING, THE-I-AM-THAT-IAM.

Part 2 — The Abundance of Answers That Prove Nothing

Answers Are Diverse

The answers are as diverse as the people on the planet, with each defining “life” through their own experiences and realities. For that reason, there are as many different definitions of life as there are people on Earth, suggesting that people’s understanding of life is deeply personal and subjective.

“The answers are as diverse as every single person on Earth.”

This is a devastating observation.

It means:

  • Billions of answers exist — from religion, science, philosophy, culture, personal experience
  • Every tradition, every guru, every therapy, every self-help system has offered its definition
  • And yet — the question remains. People are still asking. Still suffering. Still searching.

The quantity of answers is not evidence of wisdom — it is evidence of collective uncertainty. If even one answer had been truly satisfying, the question would have stopped being asked.

Part 3 — The Bold Distinction

Personal vs. Eternal Truth

The crucial final point is the tension between these two things: Just because each person feels their definition is right doesn’t mean it actually is correct in Eternal BEING.

“Each one has his or her particular sense as to what LIFE IS, but this does not make their definition correct.”

God’s Eternal Truth strikes at the heart of the passage.

It separates two things the world constantly confuses:

Personal SenseGod’s Eternal Truth
What feels true to meWhat IS true — Eternally
Shaped by culture, religion, experienceUnchanged by any human perspective
Sincerely heldSincerity does not equal accuracy
Multiplied by 8 billion peopleStill only ONE ETERNAL TRUTH Exists

The word “sense” is precise. A sense is a perception — filtered through ego, conditioning, belief, and emotion. It is deeply personal. It may be genuinely felt. But feeling something deeply does not make it Eternally true.

This single line disqualifies:
  • ❌ Religious tradition alone
  • ❌ Scientific consensus alone
  • ❌ Personal spiritual experience alone
  • ❌ Cultural wisdom alone
  • ❌ Philosophical reasoning alone

None of these — however sincere — automatically arrive at GOD’S ETERNAL TRUTH OF BEING, THAT OF THE I-AM-THAT-I-AM.

The Hidden Promise in the Passage

By saying “this does not make their definition correct” — is GREAT NEWS: Its saying

“There IS a correct definition”.

This is not relativism. This is not saying “no one can know.” It is saying:

  • A definitive answer exists
  • It has not yet been widely received
  • What follows will be that answer — not another opinion, but a revelation

The Full Meaning — “What is LIFE?” One Sentence

The world has been asking “What is LIFE?” forever, generating endless personal answers—but sincerity and the quantity of belief do not produce Truth, and a correct definition exists beyond all personal sense and human frameworks.

It asks for a fundamental definition or understanding: How do we define “life”? What does it mean to live?

I invite you to join me as I launch the brand-new series, “What Is LIFE?” Together, we will explore this essential question of existence and meaning, looking at it through the lens of “BEING” –THE–I-AM-THAT-I-AM.

  1. Establishes urgency — this is the most important question ever asked
  2. Creates humility — even the most confident answers may be wrong
  3. Builds tension — billions of answers, still no resolution
  4. Promises resolution — “does not make their definition correct” implies a correct one will follow
  5. This question is deeply significant and timeless
  6. People struggle to answer it
  7. Everyone has their own interpretation

Essentially asking: “What is the nature and meaning of life?”—a question that philosophers, scientists, and everyday people have pondered for all of human history.

Conclusion

Sincerity is not a substitute for accuracy. We have spent lifetimes collecting definitions shaped by our culture, ego, and experience, confusing what we feel is true with what is true. But the existence of billions of subjective perspectives does not negate the existence of one objective, Eternal BEING. The search for ‘What is LIFE?’ has been a journey through a labyrinth of personal opinions, but the path to clarity begins by letting go of everything we think we know.

You are invited to leave the subjective noise behind. This series is not about adding another opinion to the heap; it is about reaching for the revelation of the I-AM-THAT-I-AM. Join me as we step out of the confinement of human frameworks and into the Truth of BEING.
