If You’re Exhausted from Trying to “Fix” Yourself, Read This
You’ve done the work.
You’ve tried positive thinking.
You’ve swallowed the daily affirmations, forced yourself to focus on the silver linings, and prayed until your throat felt raw. You’ve read the self-help books, analyzed your trauma, and pushed yourself to “heal” so you could finally deserve a quiet mind.
And yet, when the room goes quiet, the heavy baseline returns. The anxiety that sits like an anvil on your chest. The quiet dread that you are somehow missing something fundamental. The deep, lingering grief that no amount of personal achievement can lift.
If you are tired—if you are utterly burned out from the endless, exhausting project of trying to fix, heal, and manage yourself—I have something liberating to tell you:
Your failure to find lasting peace isn’t because you haven’t tried hard enough.
It’s because you have been assigned an impossible task. You are spending your life trying to repair a personal self-identity—an artificial, performance-based “self”—that God never created in the first place.
The anxiety, the unworthiness, and the spiritual frustration you feel right now aren’t signs that you are broken. They are signs that you are living inside a false premise. For 21 years, after losing almost everything and confronting the absolute bottom of human grief, I pursued one burning question: Why does the suffering never actually stop?
What I discovered on the other side of that question isn’t another self-help routine or a set of theological rules to follow. It is a doorway out of the struggle entirely.
If you are ready to stop fighting an endless war against your own mind and step into genuine, unshakeable peace, let go of everything you’ve been taught about who you are.
It’s Time To Discover What’s Actually True.
For a long time, I carried a deep sense of sadness, isolation, and depression, despite being surrounded by others.
My ultimate desire was to escape this cycle of suffering and find genuine peace and happiness. I lost my mother in May 2004, and two years later, I lost my grandmother, who could not bear the pain of losing her first daughter. The turning point came when I lost my sister in 2010, all within a six-year period, causing me to lose interest in life entirely. I became trapped in a cycle of constant rumination, dwelling on a painful past, and battling persistent negative thoughts, all while longing for a joyful life free from the weight of depression.
When changing my thinking patterns failed to yield lasting results, I turned to God in desperation as my absolute last resort. Previously, I had attempted to redirect my focus from the grief of my losses onto the joyful memories we had shared. While this positive-thinking approach provided temporary relief, it ultimately proved ineffective, repeatedly returning me to my initial state of despair.
For years, I endured the heavy burden of severe depression, which eventually led to deep frustration with God. I began to believe that existence was an illusion and that God was non-existent. After all, if God possessed all power, why did evil, darkness, and Satan continue to rule over my life, even though I had committed myself completely to God? My mind felt entirely numb.
Despite my deep love and lifelong dedication to God, I realized I needed absolute certainty of God’s protection and existence. Trust felt impossible when looking at how God had seemingly failed my mother, grandmother, and sister. I refused to gamble my existence on a God who did not feel dependable, reliable, or capable of protecting me during moments of distress.
Trapped in deep emotional pain, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and frustration for not being able to fix my broken self-identity through religion, self-help, and positive thinking, as they were not working long-term. They worked for a while, then stopped.
Driven by deep frustration, I finally challenged God directly, demanding that He reveal Himself to me if He truly exists.
At the time, I was consumed with a desire to discover the truth behind the “REST OF GOD” mentioned in Hebrews 4:9, which promises REST for the people of God.
Having sought answers about the REST OF GOD from numerous men of God to no avail, I knew I would recognize the truth only when it came straight from the source. So, I prayed to God, with an ultimatum: answer my questions directly without any middlemen, or I would walk away from the church and sever my ties with God entirely. "Show Yourself to me if you exist," I demanded.
I was tired of suffering, exhausted from constantly “working on myself” and feeling like I was failing, so I grew frustrated with God, life, and not being able to control my mind. I felt that the REST OF GOD would fix me and end my suffering. I held onto the belief that entering the REST OF GOD would restore me and finally end my pain and suffering.
My deepest wish was to truly experience God, yet I remained aware that as long as I existed as a damaged mortal—separated from God because of sin—my pain would persist regardless of the therapy, prayers, or meditation I undertook.
Indeed, I had attempted every single one of them. In my role as a Licensed Social Worker, I participated in various mindfulness workshops and professional training sessions, seeking them out for my personal healing and to acquire tools I could implement to assist my clients.
The frustration, the questions asked, and the demand led to an encounter with a “Still Small Voice.”
This Voice offered a promise to reveal the root cause of my suffering and guide me along a path toward freedom, peace of mind, genuine healing, and the REST OF GOD—a path hidden from many.
Although I was fearful, my intense curiosity to know if God truly existed and if the REST OF GOD was genuinely possible compelled me to answer the call.
For 21 years, I surrendered my personal dreams and ambitions, embarking on a journey to discover the answers to these profound questions.
“You don’t need to spend the rest of your life trying to fix, heal, or improve yourself. The exhaustion, anxiety, and deep grief you feel aren’t signs that you are broken—they are signs that you are living from a false, constructed identity. True peace comes the moment you stop trying to repair the illusion and recognize the UNdivided, Whole Spirit-BEING you have always been.”
Now, 21 years later, I have returned to “share” my findings, the obvious joy and peace that God provides.
If you truly desire to know God, if you wonder about God’s existence just as I once did, and if you want to bring an end to your suffering in order to experience a life of WHOLENESS, Happiness, and Peace, I invite you to A path of THE REST OF GOD: A practical invitation to stop fighting the “ego” construct and REST in Complete, OMNIPRESENT WHOLENESS.
GOD IS SPIRIT+SOUL—the very Image and Likeness of God, the ALL in All BEING that encompasses the entire universe and everything contained within it.
Because God is ALL-INCLUSIVE COMPLETENESS, nothing in the universe is left out of GOD’s ETERNAL BEING, including the earth, all it contains, and the 8.3 billion bodies as well as every single body that has ever existed.
The Trap of Endless Self-Fixing
To bring an end to your suffering, you must first recognize and comprehend its foundational root cause, wouldn’t you agree?
Without this clarity, your struggles will resemble those of a blind person—or someone who, despite having sight, wields a sword and strikes blindly.
“Why am I still suffering after doing all the right things?”
Are you also exhausted from trying to repair yourself?
I am here to demonstrate that your ongoing struggles and the inability to control your mind, silence your inner critics, “fix your brokenness,” or end your mental and emotional pain stem entirely from operating under a fundamentally flawed premise, a deceptive mindset, and an artificial sense of self.
The Flawed Premise
Traditional theological doctrines and superstitious conditioning have persuaded us to accept a “personal sense of being” as the core foundation of our individual self-identity. This constructs an identity achieved via a superstitious belief in sin and death, originating from the assumed separation of the Spirit and the Soul. For those who may not be acquainted with this perspective, I wish to present an ETERNAL FACT documented in Genesis 1:26-27.
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
It is declared here that the ONE AND ONLY INDIVIDUAL SELF-IDENTITY created by God is a Spirit MAN, made in GOD’S Image and Likeness.
Throughout the entirety of Genesis 1 to Genesis 2:1-3, it becomes clear that all existence was brought into being by the Spirit of God, establishing that SPIRIT IS THE SUBSTANCE OF ALL THINGS.
Moreover, we must recognize that “THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD” remains fundamentally a SPIRIT BEING, wherein the sacred union of SPIRIT (Male) and SOUL (Female) constitutes GOD’s ETERNAL I-AM BEING!
Evidently, you can see that this Spirit SELF-Identity of God’s Image and Likeness is entirely different from the personal self-identity you are accustomed to.
Your personal self-identity is rooted in the superstitious theological premise that the entry of sin into the world caused the separation of the SPIRIT and the SOUL: that the introduction of sin separated the SPIRIT from the SOUL. As a result, this new perspective asserts that sin separated the Spirit and the Soul, that the man made in God’s Image and Likeness is a sinner as a result of sin, claiming your Soul is encased within your body.
Consequently, this viewpoint assumes that the man created in God’s Image and Likeness is the body and that your personal self-identity is who you are, clearly tying your existence to the body and mortality in a superstitious theological premise, reinforcing the notion that the SOUL is trapped, lost, and encased inside the physical body.
The Myth of Separation
This “theological superstitious belief” regarding the separation of the SPIRIT + SOUL directly equates to the conviction that your physical body is who and what you are. It indicates that external reality is your personal mind, designating your personality by the name of your specific body.
Theological superstitious beliefs claim that as a result of “sin,” the body, as who you are, is cut off from God, and as a result, you now have a mortal, finite mind or personal, human-limited mind that can call itself “ God’s Image and Likeness or a human soul.
Such superstitious theological beliefs maintain that “sin” separated the physical body from God. Consequently, this perspective suggests you possess a mortal, finite, or limited human mind that erroneously labels itself as a human soul or “God’s Image and Likeness.”
All human teaching, preaching, medication, and meditation rest upon the foundation of a personal self-identity, which is merely a theological and superstitious construct. Within this mortal assumption lies the origin of personal, individual self-identity and all human suffering.
Such a mindset completely disregards THE ETERNAL NATURE OF GOD’S BEING, the TRUTH OF GOD’S OMNIPRESENT ACTION, as OMNIPRESENT ACTION, magnificently expressing ITS own glory through the unified operation of Spirit and Soul as ONE ETERNAL BEING.
The Nature Of God’s Eternal BEING
My experience with the “Still Small Voice” revealed a completely different Eternal Truth. It revealed that there is only ONE TRUE SELF—God’s “I,” which represents GOD’S undivided, INDIVIDUAL-SELF-Identity.
This God’s “I” is the harmonious union of the Spirit (Male) and the Soul (Female), operating together as the SINGLE, supreme “I” that defines God.
This very OMNIPRESENT “I” is the OMNIPRESENT SPIRIT ALIVENESS, living BEING of the Soul created in God’s true Image and Likeness.
GOD MADE ONLY ONE SINGLE BEING in His Image and Likeness; therefore, God exists as Pure Spirit, fully CONSCIOUS and AWARE of His own ETERNAL PRESENCE.
Within the comprehensive AWARENESS of God’s “I-AM-I-THAT-I-AM” is contained the entire universe, including all 8.3 billion bodies and everything within it.
All of EXISTENCE rests within this GOD SPIRIT BEING—this vibrant ALIVENESS where Spirit and Soul operate together as the ETERNAL “I”.
It is always this GOD’S “I” (Spirit + Soul) alone that is truly CONSCIOUS, OMNIACTIVE, the ultimate source of all CONCEIVING-PERCEIVING, whereas the body itself never conceives or perceives anything.
The physical body exists “Eternally” within GOD’S CONSCIOUSNESS as a Spirit conception.
When viewed by God, it is perceived as a flawless concept of GOD, BUT NOT as God’s Image and Likeness.
The theological dogma and humanistic perspective that equate the body with the personal "I"—assigning it a human name, a separate identity, and an ego-mind bound by limiting beliefs, limitations and mortal struggles—constitute a complete illusion.
There is GOD ONLY, THE SINGLE SELF THAT IS BEING, THE SPIRIT+SOUL/GOD’S-IMAGE-AND-LIKENESS-I-AMNESS-THAT-IS-’I” besides this ONE-ALL; there is nothing!
God exists as the ETERNAL, exclusive BEING: the SINGULAR, unified ETERNAL BEING of Spirit + Soul. This supreme “I AM” expression is the ONE AND ONLY ETERNAL INDIVIDUAL true SELF-Identity, and outside of this ALL-encompassing OMNIPRESENCE, nothing exists.
Only God is ETERNAL TRUTH!
Decoding the Ego Construct
Everything presented to you via theological superstitions, human assumptions, and the personal ego originates from the false notion of sin and death—the belief that the Spirit and the Soul are separated, and that God’s own image and likeness is a sinner, which falsely implies that God sinned.
The belief in sin and death introduced dualism, establishing two separate mindsets: God and US.
While one is recognized as Spirit, the other is conceived as a personal, mortal mind identified by your name—a suffering mind that continuously searches for God and seeks a way out of its pain.
Consequently, these theological and superstitious beliefs gave birth to the mortal mind, human reality, a pathway from birth to death of a personal self-identity, ultimately producing a limiting-beliefs sense of self, ego-mindset and a consciousness that identifies the personal self to a physical body as its dwelling place.
Utterly ignoring the nature of GOD’s ETERNAL BEING is to assume that you are merely a human being, with numerous distinct minds existing with separate bodies to carry out their desires, or that this combination of mind-body-spirit is sanctioned by GOD (God’s Life, God’s Eternal MIND), evolution, or cosmic action.
True knowledge of God does not begin with human assumptions or the dictates of theological superstitions.
If you are suffering and deeply desire an end to your pain—seeking true peace of mind, lasting healing, joy, happiness, and Eternal Perfection—you must begin with the SPIRIT + SOUL functioning together in unity as ONE SINGLE ETERNAL BEING. This ETERNAL union IS YOUR ONE AND ONLY INDIVIDUAL SELF-IDENTITY and TRUE BEING.
Therefore, you must stop attempting to fix the artificial personal-self-identity.
Approaching “God’s Presence” clothed in a false “personal self-identity”, I was answered by the “Still-Small-Voice” with a profound truth: the human identity is entirely artificial—a fraud and a fallacy never constructed by God.
All the searching, praying, fixing and seeking to evolve this personal narrative, along with its history of trauma, can never alleviate mental or emotional suffering, because the identity making those demands is a mere illusion.
You can’t fix something that doesn’t exist!
Since God is OMNIPRESENT and everywhere present, there is no place where God is not, leaving no space for evil or the false belief that the Spirit and Soul were ever separated by sin.
The “Still-Small-Voice” revealed that there is only ONE SINGLE INDIVIDUAL-SELF-IDENTITY: the very Image and Likeness of God’s I-AM Presence. This true INDIVIDUAL-SELF-Identity is SPIRIT+SOUL operating in Perfect union as ONE SINGLE ETERNAL BEING, remaining unchanged ETERNALLY-NOW.
By viewing your life through the lens of ETERNITY and ETERNAL Truth, you will discover that “YOU”—the unified Spirit and Soul, God’s Image and Likeness—have never sinned, nor have you ever been separated from God, because the true Image and Likeness of God, the Soul, IS GOD ITSELF.
Albeit theological superstitious “gods” did not know that.
Yes, you seem to have “attained” the human individual-personal-self-identity through the belief in sin and death, but it is this same belief that is the root cause of all suffering and pain.
This theological superstitious “belief-in-sin-and-death-is-what-amount-to-conviction” that precipitated your mental and emotional problems to begin with.
The foundational origin of your psychological and emotional distress lies precisely in this theological, superstitious conviction—the absolute belief that sin and death constitute reality.
If you did not have have the belief that the SPIRIT and the SOUL was separated because of sin, that God’s was less than OMNIPRESENT WHOLENESS, that the Soul was lost and trapped within the body and that God’s Image and Likeness was the body you simply could never have assumed “YOU” as God’s Image and Likeness or the Soul, or anybody could be ill, that the SOUL or God’s Image and Likeness could be born or die, experience limiting belief, go through depression, anxiety, suffering and pain.
If you did not possess the belief that the SPIRIT and the SOUL were separated by sin, that God was anything less than ETERNAL OMNIPRESENT WHOLENESS, that the Soul was trapped and lost within the body, and that the human body represented God’s Image and Likeness—you could never accept the premise that “YOU,” as God’s Image and Likeness or Soul, could ever experience illness.
Why? Because you are a Spirit BEING, indivisible; where would depression, disease, sickness hang? Nowhere, because in BEING, GOD’S ETERNAL NATURE, EVERYTHING IS SPIRIT, and YOU, as God’s Image and Likeness, would have PERCEIVED Your Life through the Lens of God’s Eternal Nature or BEING.
Under that true realization, it would be entirely impossible for the SOUL or God’s true Image and Likeness to be born, to die, or to endure the burdens of limiting beliefs, depression, anxiety, suffering, and pain.
THE BELIEF IN GOOD AND EVIL
The single conviction that the SPIRIT and the SOUL are separated, and that this separation has divided “YOU” from the ONE-WHOLE-SELF-ALL-GOD-IS, brings forth a completely alternative mindset, presence, and reality, wherein two conflicting forces (one Good and one evil) appear to prevail.
This very belief serves as the absolute and singular origin of all mental, emotional, and physical distress, sickness, and the human condition.
The mental and emotional bondage of suffering and pain.
Unfortunately, this is the mindset and consciousness within which suffering exists.
Although theological superstitions seem to have obscured the Truth of ETERNITY, many have seemingly “attained” their individual personal self-identity through a belief in sin and death. Yet it is this exact belief that is the root cause of all suffering and pain. This theological, superstitious conviction is precisely what precipitated your mental and emotional struggles to begin with.
The Implication Of The Belief In Good And Evil
In the new state of mind, you perceive yourself through theological superstitious beliefs, man-made conditions, and a sense of duality.
Whenever you are experiencing mental and emotional suffering, it’s a sign that you are operating from the ego-mindset, or it means you are seeing your sense of self according to theological superstitious beliefs and human conditioning.
Like begets like, as the old saying goes; one cannot plant an orange tree and expect a harvest of mangoes. In the same manner, sowing the seeds of emptiness, fraud, and separation will never yield Wholeness.
Cultivating assumptions and superstitious beliefs within a personal self-identity mindset inevitably results in reaping emptiness, loneliness, pain and suffering. It is pure self-evident folly to bypass God’s Eternal BEING and wonder why there is so much pain and suffering in the world today.
Every ounce of mental and emotional suffering, or disease, arises entirely from a belief in sin, death, or otherness—the conviction that something else exists besides the ONE AND ONLY GOD.
Wholly depending on theological superstitious beliefs and the human construct of personal self-identity implies leaning on duality and otherness.
By viewing your physical body as yourself, you lean on bodily organs for health, the ego as your mind, brain cells (which are mostly water) for intelligence, and vitamins, minerals, food, air, and liquid for Life!
That was not the intention when God decided to create this beautiful world!
To live with the theological, superstitious beliefs, the mindset of duality, and human assumptions is to place your “trust” where “moth and rust doth corrupt and thieves” of belief, fear, assumptions, and ignorance “break in and steal!”
What Then Is The Ego?
The Ego is the false personal self-identity and mindset — the constructed, conditioned, performance-based sense of “I” that the world, religion, society, and trauma built for every human being.
It is not who you are. It never was.
But it is the individual-personal-self-identity most people live from, suffer from, and die defending — without ever knowing it was never “real,” and that it is the “bubble within which they exist as human beings and have been caged to suffering and pain.
The Ego is not a spiritual concept to be debated. It is the lived experience, mindset of suffering that CEOs, business coaches, and every human being carries daily:
- The anxiety that never fully stops
- The depression that no achievement lifts
- The limiting beliefs that replay without invitation
- The voices in the head that confirm unworthiness
- The exhaustion of trying to be enough
- The grief that has no floor
- The emptiness beneath success
- The need for external validation to feel real
This is Ego’s mind, being, self and world.
And until you understand what the Ego actually is — not just by “theological spirituality” but ONLY FROM THE STANDPOINT OF ETERNITY — you will spend your entire life trying to improve, heal, manage, and fix a “personal-self that was never the real “ GOD’s Image and Likeness, the Soul or INDIVIDUAL SELF” to begin with.
The Undivided Identity (Spirit + Soul=BEING “I”)
Is it challenging for you to accept this Eternal Truth?
Is it difficult to recognize GOD as PURE ETERNAL TRUTH, entirely free from the theological claim of separation of the Spirit and Soul, and completely without dissimulation?
In GOD’S ETERNAL BEING nothing has been subtracted from God’s BEING, and nothing has been added. GOD remains ETERNALLY WHOLE—an unalterable, UNCHANGEABLE ALLNESS in which no otherness can possibly exist.
This Is Who And What You ARE: MEET YOUR TRUE SELF!
Contemporary mental and emotional suffering stems directly from the belief that you are a sinner, a mere human, or a mortal living in separation from God. This conceptual framework was fabricated by individuals claiming to be God’s representatives on earth, who chose a definition of “self” tailored to serve the ego—a misconception that has profoundly misled generations astray, as well as themselves.
GOD IS ETERNAL, explicit, direct, and positive—never deceiving ITSELF. As the Eternal ALL-IN-ALL, God has never experienced separation or division within ITSELF, for SPIRIT and SOUL remain completely undivided. Consequently, the true Image and Likeness of God never has to pray to a “god” external to ITSELF.
GOD IS SPIRIT AND SOUL FUNCTIONING TOGETHER AS ONE SINGLE ETERNAL BEING. This Eternal Image and Likeness—the Soul existing as GOD ITSELF within the Eternal Nature of God’S ETERNAL BEING—never waits for ITSELF “to become.”
GOD being LIFE ITSELF and the LIFE OF ITS IMAGE AND LIKENESS OR THE SOUL, the unified SPIRIT + SOUL was never born, requires no limitations, and has no need to scheme, suffer, struggle, adjust, evolve, self-improve, or grow to attain that which IT already IS!
Because GOD IS SINGLE—the complete union of SPIRIT+SOUL as ONE ETERNAL BEING—IT never looks to or for another. The ETERNAL fullness of ALL GOD IS is entirely present HERE and NOW, and OMNISCIENCE IS THIS ETERNAL, INDIVIDUAL AWARENESS: YOUR ONE AND ONLY authentic, true SPIRIT/GOD’S+SOUL I-AM IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD “YOU” ARE!
ETERNALLY aware of ITS own Nature, GOD’S Mind-I-AM-Self-Awareness operates as CONSTANT, ALL-Inclusive Wisdom ITSELF, meaning YOU are already completely Whole, Unchanged, Perfect, Healthy, and Wealthy.
Stepping Into the Rest of BEING
Rather than looking through the educated personal mind, theological superstitious beliefs, or body-centric assumptions—which falsely claim the body is the “source” of Life, the “medium” of Intelligence, the “winner” of Wealth, the “maintainer” of Health, the “vessel” of the Soul, or the “temple” of Joy, and the ego is the “understander” of Mind, the “demonstrator” of Power, or the “receiver” of Good—start beholding YOURSELF through the lens of GOD’S ETERNAL TRUTH.
Through this ETERNAL TRUTH PERSPECTIVE, you will realize that THE SPIRIT+ THE SOUL, GOD’S IMAGE AND LIKENESS, which is YOUR ONE AND ONLY TRUE BEING, is entirely unfallen. It is the ONLY SUBSTANCE, OMNIPRESENCE, OMNIACTION, and GOD Awareness—the ETERNAL Total SELF-I-AM-NOW, besides which there is NOTHING else.
God, the CONSTANT-ONE, remains Eternally unaware of anything contrary to ITSELF. Because GOD is so UTTERLY WHOLE, ENTIRE, COMPLETE, and ETERNAL, there is absolutely no space left for satan, evil, darkness, fear, suffering and pain, disease, birth-death, choice, duality, or otherness.
This ETERNAL Essence cannot behold or incorporate contradiction, acceptance, rejection, changeableness, objectivity, materiality, frustration, time, fall, rise, sin, forgiveness, reward, or any repudiation of Holiness.
BECAUSE GOD IS ALL THAT EXISTS, EVERYWHERE AND ALWAYS, THERE CAN ONLY BE GOD WHEREVER GOD IS. Since this remains FOREVER UNCHANGING, there is no place for sin, error, or evil, nor any ego-centred minds, personal self-identities, physical bodies, or material things to serve as channels for mental and emotional suffering.
- The Root of Suffering: Mental and emotional pain—such as anxiety, grief, and feelings of unworthiness—are not symptoms of personal brokenness. Instead, they stem from a “theological superstition”: the false belief that our Spirit and Soul are separated from God by sin, creating a fractured human identity.
- Defining the Ego: The “Ego” is presented as an artificial, conditioned construct rather than who YOU truly are. Trying to “fix” or “heal” the ego is an impossible task, as we are attempting to repair an identity that was never real in the first place.
- The Path to Freedom: The solution, described as the “BEING which is THE REST OF GOD,” lies in abandoning this false personal-self-identity. By shifting your perspective, YOU can recognize that YOU are already Complete, unified expressions of God (Spirit and Soul functioning together as ONE ETERNAL BEING).
- Conclusion: Peace is found not through self-improvement or fighting the ego-mind, but by acknowledging that your true, God’s Nature, BEING IS—and has always been—WHOLE and INseparable from God.
Now you have it! What do you do with it? Good question. You use it as a lens to find out who is controlling your mind, who is on the throne of your life, and, for once, you get to decide who and what you want to be. Let me know in the comments below what you decide.
